Lunatide is an astronomical calculator. Given a date and a pair of coordinates it computes the moon's phase, the sun's times and a tide rhythm from formulas compiled into the app. It never asks a server for an answer, which means it never has to tell a server where you are or what you are looking at.
A saved coordinate is a place you care about, so it stays in the app's private storage on your device and is never transmitted. We hold no copy and cannot read it. Your own Android backup, if enabled on your phone, is the only copy that may exist elsewhere, held under your Google account rather than ours.
The app does not request the Android location permission and does not read GPS, Wi-Fi or network position. If you want the sky for where you stand, you type the coordinates yourself, and they go no further than the phone.
There is no analytics library, no advertising SDK, no advertising identifier and no profiling. We do not know how often the app is opened, by whom, or from where.
Google Play distributes the app under Google's own privacy terms. Where a device is set to share usage and diagnostics with Google, aggregated crash and performance reports may be visible to us in the Play Console. They identify nobody and are read only to repair defects.
If you email us, we receive your address and your message and use them to answer you and to improve the app. Under Article 5 of Law No. 6698 the processing rests on our legitimate interest in replying, and the thread is deleted within twelve months of our last message unless the law requires longer.
You may learn whether your personal data is processed, request information about it, ask for correction or erasure, and object to a result produced solely by automated analysis, among the other rights listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698. In practice, an email exchange is the only personal data we could hold.
Apply to us first, in writing or by email, as Article 13 requires; we answer within thirty days and free of charge. If the answer does not satisfy you, or none arrives, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu) at kvkk.gov.tr, within thirty days of our reply and in any case within sixty days of your application.
None. Nothing leaves the device, so nothing is transferred to another country or to a third party.
Nothing is collected from any user, at any age. The app has no chat, no links out and nothing to buy.
Lunatide's tide figures are an approximate rhythm, not a tide table. Real coastlines, estuaries, weather and wind change both the height and the timing of water, sometimes by a great deal. Never decide when to swim, dive, launch a boat, fish from rocks or cross a sandbank on the strength of this app: use official tide tables and local harbour information, and keep watching the sea itself.
Sun times are computed for an ideal horizon and will differ where hills or buildings stand in the way, and never look directly at the sun. Emergencies in Türkiye and across the EU: 112. At sea in Türkiye, Coastal Safety can be reached on 158.
To erase the saved locations and settings, open the app's entry in Android settings, go to storage and clear the data; uninstalling has the same effect. As for this page, it is revised, with a new date at the top, before any release that changes how the app handles data.
